VIDEO CONFERENCE CLASSES

Excellent New Christian Education Program

EXCITING NEWS FOR NTC AND MELBOURNE     -    VIDEO CONFERENCE HAS FINALLY STARTED AND NTC CLASSES ARE NOW AVAILABLE IN WANTIRNA.

Over the past months we have been working very hard through many trials and resolving of issues with regard to getting our Video Conference equipment up and running.

This past Tuesday evening we ran our first Video Conference Link up with Nazarene Theological College in Brisbane.  Dr Bob Woodruff was the speaker and the Video Conference system was set up in the Wantirna Nazarene Sunday School Building.

The Subject was "Christian Education" which is a required subject for both the Degree and Diploma of Theology.

The Brisbane class of four students where able to see Dr Woodruff and the Melbourne class on a plasma screen which was set up in one of their classrooms at NTC, while Melbourne hosted Dr Woodruff who gave an excellent introduction to the course.

Comments from Brisbane was that it was like having Dr Woodruff in the class with them.  Things went so well, that two more students have apparently signed up to do the course in Brisbane.  For Melbourne, the students (four members of the Wantirna Nazarene church) found both the course and the conference system most valuable and dynamic.

The course runs for 10 weeks for three hours every Tuesday evening.  From 7:30pm Melbourne time (6:30pm Brisbane time), which includes a half way refreshment break.  (Those not doing this for credit can leave during the refreshment break).

Mr. Simon Matters is doing the course for credit, and anyone else wishing to either sign up for the course or merely attend some of the lectures, are welcome to do so.

This is still in it's beginning stages, but the signs of this becoming a much bigger program are very positive indeed.  Let us continue to keep this new venture in Nazarene Education in prayer and support.  These are exciting times, so let us also pray that more young people will sense God's call into full time ministry.
