Christian Education / Bible Studies

Christian education has always been a part of the Church of the Nazarene. From the denominational beginnings at Pilot Point, Texas, the founding fathers firmly committed to promote evangelism, missions, and Christian education.

This young, fledgling religious movement took seriously Christ's command to "go... make disciples of all nations... teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you" (Matthew. 28:19-20). Because of the evangelistic fervor and revival spirit in those days, Christian education became the primary tool through which new believers were taught the tenets of the faith.

Christian education still holds a vital role in the Church of the Nazarene. The major purpose of Christian education is to help men, women, boys and girls to study God's Word, the Bible, and to apply its life-guiding principles. Christian education classes also enables us to build relationships among people and provides an avenue for people to enjoy small group fellowship with others who share their concerns and values.

Video Conferencing Classes

By being linked up directly with our Nazarene Theological College in Brisbane, we are able to offer live Video Conferencing classes on a variety of subjects.  Students who register for these classes will be studying with some of our best Nazarene Lecturers.  For some, this could be their first steps towards a life time of ministry in the church of the Nazarene in a variety of different ministry areas, including that of becoming a pastor, missionary or evangelist.

Our Mission

The Mission of Christian Education and Fellowship Ministries is to create an environment where people can learn and grow spiritually, while at the same time provide an avenue of support, accountability and fellowship.

The Vision of Christian Education and Fellowship Ministries is to help individuals develop a relationship with Christ and the body of believers. We intend to carry this out by offering class, workshop, seminar and conference opportunities to our congregation and other individuals and churches in our surrounding area. This will be Bible-based curriculum that is relevant to our members' spiritual walks and appropriate for their physical maturity (infant to senior adult). We will also provide avenues of support, accountability and fellowship with other believers through class activities, helping ministries, and one-on-one discipleship, and will encourage our class members to invest time in one another's lives.

As a church body, we are Called unto holiness... It is truly amazing what God's grace can do in a person's life. God has called us unto Holiness - a life that has been freed from the bondage of sin. The distinct teaching of the Church of the Nazarene is this life of Holiness or entire sanctification. This work of grace comes from yielding yourself as a living sacrifice unto God by faith. The Holy Spirit will bear witness with your spirit that this work is done. A Spirit-filled life of power and victory is the only way to live life to its fullest.

The church body is a family, each with special gifts for ministering to each other, in all ages, for a balanced life - physically, socially, mentally, and spiritually.

We are committed to building a foundation of faith based on:

The Bible as the inspired Word of God.

Christ, as Savior for sin, Lord of our lives, and King who is coming to reign.

The Holy Spirit who indwells the believer and gives victory over sin.

We are committed to building a fellowship of love that binds us together with a positive confidence that "all things are possible with God".

Come with us! Christ is leading the way, and we are excited to be following!
