At the Wantirna Church of the Nazarene, your child will feel welcomed and loved. We consider it a privilege to provide the variety of ministries that we have, as an encouragement for children to draw close to the Savior.
Children get to learn spiritual truth and biblical principals through puppets, songs, craft activities, games, Bible stories and object lessons. The Gospel is presented in a way that children can really understand. Our committed teachers work hard at making Sundays-KOOL for KIDS fun so that children look forward to the next Sunday.
Sunday’s KOOL for KIDS is every Sunday from 10:30am and runs during our Sunday Morning Worship Service for children ages 4 through 12. Children are grouped by grade/age levels.
Every year on the Queens Birthday we organize a fun packed family day out picnic with special activities for children of all ages. This is a great opportunity for both children and parents and grandparents to get together and play games with the children.
It is important that the children are given the opportunity to share the gifts and the talents that God has blessed them with. Each year, children attending Nazarene Churches across the city are invited to participate in our “Inter Zone Talent Festival”. There are numerous categories open for entry making it possible for any child with a desire to take part. They can draw a picture, write a poem, sing a solo or much more. We believe that participation in such events contributes to the overall spiritual growth of our children and we always stand ready to encourage them to take part when possible.
Each year we have a Sunday’s-KOOL for KIDS “All Night Stay Over”. These activities are often the highlight of the year for many children. They enjoy a night of games and activities before settling down to watch some children’s movies on the Big Screen.
