Every organization that endures over time is based on a deeply shared combination of purpose , belief , and values . So it is with the Church of the Nazarene. It was founded to transform the world by spreading scriptural holiness (Christ-like living).
We want all to discover forgiveness, peace, joy, purpose, love and meaning in life, and the promise of heaven when life is over.
This can happen for us if we enter and experience a personal relationship with God through Jesus Christ.
We believe that there is a deeper level of life for the Christian in which there is victory over temptation power to witness and serve, and a richer fellowship with God.
This happens for the Christian by the purifying and empowering fullness of the Holy Spirit.
Meadowlands church is the continuation of the dream of a group of God’s people who pioneered the Church of the Nazarene at Coorparoo. This was to become a hub church for the planting of other churches in Queensland. The property at Coorparoo was sold in the mid 1980’s and the church moved to a larger property on Meadowlands Road, Carina. New Hope congregation had a similar heritage and merged with this congregation in April 2006.
As well as a commitment to helping churches across Australia to grow and develop, we have a continuing commitment to World Missions, being part of an international church which has missions in over 150 countries.
