The Inala Church was formed in December 1968, with 5 charter members, one of whom still attends. The first pastor was Rev. Colin Hearn, who has since retired from active ministry.

 

Previous to the official formation, the building served as a crèche for children on weekdays and then on Sundays as an outreach Sunday School.

 

In the early days the Sunday School catered for around 300 children and a local bus was hired to do the pickups and drop offs. In 2006, following a period during which the Sunday School was not active, the Sunday School resumed at its current time.

 

Pastor Marian Kent, the current church Pastor, is the seventh pastor in almost 40 years.
